Spend the summer before your Fellows year serving at a partner Christian camp, earning a salary and a scholarship toward your program fee.

Christian summer camps are an amazing opportunity for kids to grow in Christ, develop community, and have a lot of fun. They can also be a wonderful opportunity for incoming TFI Fellows to serve, grow in leadership, and earn some income before their Fellows year.
TFI has partnered with multiple Christian camps that not only provide a salary for the summer before your Fellows year, but also provide scholarships toward your Fellows program fee.

How Does the Camp Program Work?
As a camp counselor, you earn a salary for the summer. Follow the camp's application steps and you can also earn a scholarship toward your Fellows program fee.
Work the full summer
To qualify for any scholarship, you must work at the camp for the entire summer before your Fellows program year.

Follow the camp's steps
You must follow the steps the camp requires during its application process to be considered for the scholarship.

Camp Greystone
Zirconia, North Carolina
- Camp for girls ages 7–17
- Hiring female junior & senior counselors
Scholarships are available to junior and senior camp counselors who are on track to be a Fellow in a TFI Fellows program. You do not need to be admitted, but you need to be intentionally seeking to be a Fellow. In addition to your summer salary as a counselor, Camp Greystone will provide $3,000 per summer served toward your TFI Fellows program fee. If you work at Camp Greystone for two summers, you can earn up to $6,000 toward your TFI Fellows program fee.

- Under June, Main, and August New Staff Application, click “Apply Here.”
- Fill in the required fields. For “How did you hear about us?” enter TFI, and I'm interested in the scholarship
- After you finish all the questions, click “Submit Application.”
Camp Rockmont
Black Mountain, North Carolina
- Camp for boys ages 6–16
- Hiring male & female summer staff
Scholarships are available to summer staff who have already committed to being a Fellow in a TFI Fellows program. Camp Rockmont will provide $3,000 per summer worked, for a total of $6,000 toward your TFI Fellows tuition for working the summers before and after your Fellows year.

- Click “Apply Today” on their website.
- Fill in the required fields. In the “How did you hear about us?” dropdown, select The Fellows Initiative
- After you finish all the questions, click “Submit Application.”
Falling Creek Camp
Zirconia, North Carolina
- Camp for boys in grades 1–11
- Hiring male summer staff
Scholarships are available for staff who are on track to be a Fellow in a TFI Fellows program. Falling Creek Camp will provide a $1,500 scholarship toward your Fellows program fee for one summer served.
Scholarship Application Steps
- Visit Falling Creek's website to apply for Summer Staff.
- Click “Apply for Summer Staff.”
- On the Staff Application page, click “New Staff Interest Form.”
- For “How did you hear about Falling Creek?” enter TFI, and I'm interested in the scholarship
- When you have completed the application, click “Submit Application.”

Ligonier Camp & Conference Center
Ligonier, Pennsylvania
- Camp for boys & girls ages 6–17
- Hiring male & female summer staff
Scholarships are available to staff who are pursuing participation in a TFI Fellows program. In addition to your summer staff salary, Ligonier Camp will provide $1,000 toward your TFI Fellows program fee.

Camp Tapawingo
Speculator, New York
- Camp for girls ages 9–17
- Hiring female administrative staff
Scholarships are available to those who serve on Tapawingo Administrative Staff (see roles below) and are on track to be a Fellow in a TFI Fellows program. You do not need to be admitted, but you need to be intentionally seeking to be a Fellow. In addition to your summer salary, Camp Tapawingo will provide $2,000 toward your TFI Fellows program for one summer served. If you work at Camp Tapawingo for two summers, you can earn $6,000 toward your TFI Fellows program fee!

- Under Tapawingo Staff Application and/or Counselor in Training, select “Click to apply.”
- Fill in the required fields. For “How did you hear about us?” enter TFI, and I'm interested in the scholarship
- After you finish all the questions, click “Submit Application.”
Deerfoot
Glenville, North Carolina
- Camp for boys ages 9–16
- Hiring male summer staff
Scholarships are available to staff who are committed to a TFI Fellows program. The scholarship amount varies depending on commitment to Deerfoot and other applicants, but is in the range of $1,500–$2,500, in addition to a paid position at Deerfoot. Partial scholarships are available for those who commit to a partial summer.

- Create an account in CampInTouch to start your application.
- Fill in the required fields and submit your application.
- Once you have been accepted into a summer staff position, you will be given the opportunity to apply for the scholarship on a separate form.
Camp Lurecrest
Lake Lure, North Carolina
- Camp for boys & girls, grades 3–12
- Hiring cabin counselors & support staff
Scholarships are available for a Fellow who serves a full summer at camp. For one summer of service, a $3,000 scholarship will be awarded in addition to your salary. If a Fellow commits to a second summer, Camp Lurecrest will cover the entire Fellows program fee.

- Fill in the required fields. In the “How did you hear about us?” dropdown, select “Other” and type The Fellows Initiative
- Submit your application.
