Capital Fellows

McLean, Virginia - DC Area

Program Description

Capital Fellows is a 9-month, advanced leadership development program for recent college graduates. Through paid professional internships in many career fields, graduate courses, 1:1 mentoring and many leadership and community service opportunities, fellows learn to develop and apply their gifts in real-world situations while integrating a Christian worldview into all areas of life.

This is a unique opportunity to start your career in the Washington D.C. metro area as an active member of a supportive community that seeks to serve the city with the love of Christ. It is also a unique opportunity to get hands-on experience in the workplace while deeply exploring God’s design for us as servants and contributors to human flourishing.

Four themes of the Capital Fellows Program:

Vocation and Career – Young professionals often have questions about what God wants them to do with their lives. This is an opportunity to explore these questions through study, mentorship and and hands-on experience.

Leadership – At its core, this is a leadership development program to help young professionals develop their personal leadership abilities and style. Through academic and hands-on experiences, fellows learn to lead with purpose.

Service – As Christians, we are called to serve Christ by serving others. Fellows are actively involved in the life of the community through service opportunities at McLean Presbyterian Church and in the broader Washington D.C. region.

Community – As a community of young professionals, fellows work together to know and serve the Lord, explore his calling in their lives and to serve others. Retreats, weekly dinners and classes contribute to a flourishing community.
