The Urban Hope Leadership Initiative is a 10 month Christ-Centered program that caters specifically to young African American men from ages 21-27. Our heart is to help men become Godly leaders in their homes, communities, and in the workplace. We do this by connecting you with a job/internship that fits your desires and degree, placing you in our church community with mentors, and intentionally teaching you how to live life with a biblical worldview.

As a UHLI participant, you will be attending and serving at Urban Hope Community Church. Our church is a small growing church located in Fairfield, Al which is  ten minutes outside of Birmingham, Al. With Fairfield being in an urban city context, our mission is bringing God’s kingdom to the places this country has broken and neglected. Our church is continually growing with young millennial and Gen-z members who are ready to bring a movement of revival to this city and beyond. You will be engulfed with great community and love within our church.

One of the biggest perks of our program is our brand new living space that is provided for our participants. You will be staying in a state of the art 1.5 million dollar loft space with 8 rooms, 4 bathrooms, large game room, living room, and top of the line kitchen area. It is located right beside the church and right above a local grocery store. This space is set up for you to thrive and grow in your next stage of life.
