Become a TFI Sponsor for 2019-20

As a sponsor of one or more TFI events, you will have access to a group of outstanding young professionals as well as the national network of fellows program directors and staff members. Whether you are seeking future graduate students, employees, or community service volunteers, TFI fellows have shown themselves to be an unusually gifted and motivated group of young men and women. The fellows program experience helps to develop in these young leaders not only a sense of calling and purpose, but a framework of servant leadership and personal excellence that extends to every area of life. Joining us as a sponsor is a great way to advance your organization's mission by connecting with these fellows at an upcoming TFI event.

About the Audience You Will Meet

Sponsors have the opportunity to interact with two important audiences, the fellows themselves and the leaders of the local programs. The TFI network currently has 30 geographically distributed programs, 255+ fellows each year, and 2,100+ alumni. Fellows are recent college graduates, typically ranging in age from 21 to 25. They come with a wide range of professional interests and undergraduate majors - literally from Art to Zoology and many others in between. Fellows have come from more than 100 top colleges and universities.

To be eligible for a fellows program, these young men and women must demonstrate teachability, humility, personal maturity, a heart for serving others, and a drive to excel (e.g. strong academic performance). During the fellows program year, fellows are involved in paid internships with companies, nonprofits, churches or government agencies. They receive exceptional leadership training and graduate theological education that includes a Biblical grounding in faith, vocation, culture, and service.

Each program operates under the leadership of a local program director and uniquely serves the needs of its local community. There are more than 45 staff members in the fellows community, including program directors and assistant directors. They not only lead their programs but recruit at campuses across the country and maintain volunteer teams of 25-100 people at each program location in the TFI network. Fellows program directors have large networks within their churches and with employers, community leaders, thought leaders, and many others. Collectively, the directors maintain active relationships with a network of 2,100+ alumni of TFI-affiliated programs.

Terms and Conditions of Sponsorship

  1. Space is limited at the venues for all TFI events. Therefore, the number of sponsorships is also limited. Sponsorships are offered on a first-come, first-served basis. Sponsors are encouraged to commit early in order to secure a spot.

  2. Table-top displays are preferred, but similar sized free-standing booths are also acceptable. Please confirm your booth size with the TFI staff before confirming your sponsorship.

  3. Sponsorships are non-refundable.

  4. Sponsors are responsible for all shipping and set up of their booths and materials. TFI staff are not available to set up, break-down, receive or ship booths or other sponsorship materials. Sponsors must bring their booths and materials to the Micah 6:8 venues because there is no shipping and receiving available at these locations. The hotel partner of the TFI National Conference does provide shipping and receiving services, so shipping to/from the hotel directly would apply and must be worked out separately with the hotel. Any such costs must be settled directly between the sponsor and the hotel prior to the event. TFI does not serve as an intermediary for these arrangements or payments.

  5. The period of sponsorship defined by this Sponsorship Agreement, begins with the date your application is approved by TFI (typically within a week of receipt of your application) and ends on June 15, 2020.

  6. The Payment amount is $2,500 (USD) for the Standard Sponsorship or $4,000 (USD) for the Premier Sponsorship. Upon approval of your sponsorship application, an invoice will be sent to you by TFI. Payment is due in full within 30 days of the invoice date. Discounts (e.g. returning sponsorships, early bird sponsorships, etc.) may apply and will be reflected on your invoice. Payment can be made by check or, preferably, ACH.

  7. TFI, in its sole discretion, may reject sponsors that are not in alignment with the mission and vision of TFI or whose messages/imagery are profane or offensive. TFI, in its sole discretion, may ask a committed sponsor to change its message or imagery to comply with TFI's standards. Acceptance as a Sponsor does not constitute an endorsement by TFI of Sponsor, its representatives, or its products, services, or messaging.

  8. Sponsor grants to TFI the free, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-assignable, revocable right and license to use the Sponsor’s name and logo or trademark solely in connection with this sponsorship arrangement and the specific uses listed in the sponsorship package. Upon revocation of this right and license, TFI will immediately cease any use of the Sponsor’s name and logo or trademark.

  9. Each Party (i.e. TFI, Sponsor) agrees not to use the intellectual property of the other Party, including but not limited to logos and other copyrighted materials, without prior written notice and that in any way that would demean, defame, embarrass, diminish or cause any harm to the other Party. Sponsor will indemnify and hold harmless TFI, its board of directors, officers, and employees from any claims or actions, and all costs and expenses related thereto, arising out of any infringement of trademark, copyright or similar rights by the Sponsor, or a breach by the Sponsor of its obligations under this Agreement. Reciprocally, TFI will indemnify and hold harmless the Sponsor, including its officers, agents, and employees, from any claims or actions, and all costs and expenses related thereto, arising out of any infringement of trademark, copyright or similar rights by TFI, or a breach by TFI of its obligations under this Agreement.

  10. Neither Party will be liable for any indirect, special or consequential damages under this Agreement.

  11. Neither Party will be deemed in default of any provision of this Agreement, or for failure of performance, resulting from acts or events beyond its reasonable control (“force majeure”).

  12. This Agreement will be governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, excluding its principles of conflicts of law.

  13. All notices under this Agreement must be by email to the email addresses provided by the Parties to one another in the course of establishing the Sponsorship arrangement.

  14. This Agreement shall not be construed to create a partnership or joint venture between the Parties and neither Party shall have the right to bind the other Party to any contracts, agreements or other obligations without the express and written consent of an authorized representative of such Party.

  15. If any provision of this Agreement is held to be invalid or unenforceable in any circumstances by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remainder of the provisions of this Agreement will remain in effect.  Waiver of a breach of any provision of this Agreement does not constitute a waiver of any other breach of the same or any other provision of this Agreement.

  16. This Agreement constitutes the entire agreement between the Parties with respect to the Event referenced above.  Any amendment or modification of this Agreement must be in writing, agreed to by both Parties.

  17. This Agreement may not be assigned by either Party without the prior written consent of the other Party.

  18. This Agreement may be executed in counterparts and forwarded by facsimile or electronic means between the Parties.
